New Delhi. Gold has come down a bit on Tuesday after becoming more expensive. Experts say that gold prices may fall further this week.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the futures price of 24 carat purity gold fell by Rs 16 to Rs 53,248 per 10 grams in the morning. This is the futures price of June 3, 2022. A day earlier, gold prices had jumped by about Rs 500. However, experts are predicting the price of gold to come down further this week.
On the lines of gold, the futures price of silver also fell by Rs 101 or 0.14 per cent to Rs 69,998 per kg. Silver was selling above 70 thousand till a day ago. This futures price of silver is for May 5, 2022. Till a day earlier, gold was being sold on MCX at Rs 53,470 per 10 grams and silver at Rs 69,499 per kg.
Gold reached near $2,000 in the global market
Gold prices also saw a fall in the global market today. A day earlier, gold had gone close to $ 2,000 an ounce. This is the highest level in two years. During this time the price of gold was $ 1,998.10 per ounce. However, this morning the spot price of gold fell 0.1 per cent to 1,976.46 per ounce. In the global market, the futures price of gold also fell 0.3 percent to $ 1,981 an ounce.
Silver prices also rose in the global market, but on Tuesday it fell by 0.72 percent to sell at $ 25.96 an ounce.
