Hardik Pandya Comeback: Hardik Pandya remembers his ‘sacrifice’, this hardworking training and stubbornness made a comeback

No one knows what Team India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya was doing after the T20 World Cup. Not only was he being subjected to constant criticism, but people were treating him as finished. In such a situation, not only did he make a big comeback in competitive cricket, but he also told that he still has strength. He made Gujarat Titans the champion of IPL 2022 under his captaincy and returned to international cricket.

India lost the first T20 match against South Africa by seven wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. However, the Indian team scored 211 runs losing four wickets in 20 overs. Among them, Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik have returned to the T20 team after a long gap. While Karthik played just two deliveries, Pandya scored an unbeaten 31 off 12 balls with stroke-play. He put the finishing touches on the team with the help of two fours and three sixes at a strike rate of 258.33.

Now, in a video posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Pandya expressed his feelings about returning to the India T20 squad after he was last seen in the national team during the 2021 T20 World Cup. Pandya said, ‘Playing for the country after a long break has always been special. I am making a fresh comeback and am very excited to be back.

He took 3 for 17 in four overs with the ball in the final match and played a vital role in the team with 34 runs with the bat. He explained in detail about his routine during his leave from the Indian team. “I am proud of the process I followed. Nobody knows what I was going through during the six months. He further said, ‘I used to get up at 5 in the morning and practice the match. Then at 4 pm I used to practice. So, to give myself enough rest, I used to sleep till 9:30 in the night. I had made a lot of sacrifices during that time. I did a lot of hard work during this period, which resulted in me seeing in the IPL. With the T20 World Cup 2022 to be hosted by Australia in October-November, Pandya aims to deliver his best performance for the team.
