Venkatesh Prasad-Nupur Sharma: Cricketer Venkatesh came out in support of Nupur Sharma in the Prophet’s statement case, threw a bouncer at those who raised questions

Former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad spoke on the hanging of the effigy of suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma after he allegedly made a statement on Prophet Muhammad outside a mosque in Belagavi. He said that I cannot believe that this is the India of the 21st century. When some people started targeting him on many of his tweets one after the other, Venkatesh, furious, gave a befitting reply with his sharp tweet. There are protests all over the country regarding Nupur. There have been big controversies in many places.

Tweeting the picture of hanging the effigy, he wrote – This is the hanging effigy of Nupur Sharma in Karnataka. Can’t believe this is 21st century India. I would urge everyone to leave politics and become enlightened. This is just too much.

After this he wrote – The meaning of this tweet is unbelievable. The news channels as well as those justifying such activities are responsible for this situation. Well it is not just a mannequin but without any words it is a danger to more than one person.

Venkatesh wrote in his next tweet – And if it hurts the sentiments of the people then the list of such people in the country is endless. From journalists to parliamentarians, from leading newspapers to so-called leading actors, it is only Sanatan Dharma that has repeatedly shown tolerance when making fun of Hindu gods.

He further wrote – Two being wrong is not right, but I do not know of any country where the majority of the population feels so insecure. Everyone needs to be protected but this brainwash for propaganda needs to stop. Tolerance is a two way street. When some people were seen commenting on this tweet of his, he also gave a befitting reply to him.
