Baap-Baap Hota Hai… Pakistan’s PSL does not stand anywhere in front of IPL, India’s ‘Dhan Kuber’, statistics are astonishing

In a show, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag had said about Shoaib Akhtar that there is a father-father and a son-son…. Sultan Veeru of Mustan had hit this taunt linking Akhtar to Sachin Tendulkar, but this has been proved once again in the auction for IPL media rights. There can be no comparison of Indian cricket league IPL and Pakistani cricket league PSL.

The Indian Premier League, the world’s largest cricket league, will get Rs 48,390 crore ($6 billion 200 million) from 2023 to 2027, according to the media rights deal. That is, a match of IPL will be worth 118 crores. The TV rights for the Indian subcontinent were bought by Disney Star for Rs 23575 crore (Rs 57.5 crore per match), but the digital rights went to Reliance’s Viacom 18 for Rs 20,500 crore. Viacom also bought a C package of ‘non-exclusive’ rights for Rs 2991 crore. The A and B packages include 410 matches over the next five years (74–74 matches in 2023 and 2024, 84 matches in 2025 and 2026 and 94 matches in 2027).

IPL Media Rights Auction: Times Internet also got rights to broadcast IPL, who has TV and mobile rights, know full details
Package C included the rights to 18 ‘non-exclusive’ matches, which Viacom18 bought for Rs 2991.6 crore i.e. Rs 33.24 crore per match. There are 90 matches in this package. Package D contained overseas TV and digital rights that Viacom18 and Times Internet bought for Rs 1,300 crore. On the other hand, if we talk about the Pakistani Cricket League, then there is no value of PSL in front of the amount like the mountain of IPL. The interesting thing is that where Pakistani cricketers are seen appealing to India to play cricket. BCCI Has banned the players of neighboring countries from playing in the IPL.

How much did PSL get
Pakistan’s cricket league, out of IPL and bilateral cricket series due to border dispute and terrorist nefarious intentions, got only $ 24 million (then the value in Indian currency was about Rs 166 crore) of a 2-year deal. He had with great difficulty finalized a two-year deal in 2021. A Sports and PTV Sports bought the rights for the two seasons in a bid of $24 million. The PCB gets around Rs 83 crore from 34 matches of a season of PSL.

IPL Media Rights: The wait is over, BCCI is rich… IPL Media Rights earned 48390 crores
The last bilateral series was held in 2012
The last time a bilateral series was played between the two teams was in 2012. Then Pakistan came to India to play. However, both the teams keep clashing in ICC events. The match was played between the two teams recently in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.

IPL stature increased like this
Star India were the current entitled to the IPL rights for the 2017–22 cycle. 16,347.50 crore was bid for both TV and digital in September 2017. Earlier Sony Pictures Networks had bagged the IPL TV media rights with a bid of Rs 8,200 crore for a period of 10 years during the start of the tournament.
