Kl Rahul: Team India’s tension increased, KL Rahul was also out of England tour, will get treatment in this country

New Delhi: There is no good news about Indian opener Lokesh Rahul (KL Rahul injury). Rahul, who was made the captain for the South African series, was found injured a few hours before the first match and then was ruled out of the entire series. Now it seems that he has also been out of England tour and will go to Germany for treatment.

Indian team has left for England today. The final Test match is to be played there from July 1. After this match to be held at Edgbaston, three T20 matches are to be played. After this, the same number of ODI matches have to be played. Rahul was made the vice-captain for the Edgbaston Test, but now the Indian selection committee will have to announce the second vice-captain.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in a Cricbuzz report on Thursday, “That’s right, the board is monitoring his fitness and he will be going to Germany soon.” Rahul may leave for Germany by the end of this month or early July.

Earlier, on Thursday, some key players of the Test team like batsmen Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara, openers Shubman Gill, all-rounders Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja, pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj left for England. The report further states that the team management has not offered any other player to replace Rahul in the team.

Rahul last played international cricket in February this year and was last seen captaining the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022, becoming the second highest run-scorer in the tournament. He scored 616 runs in the IPL at an average of 51.33 and a strike rate of 135.38 and became the first team to debut in the playoffs.
