IND vs SA: Team India has already been shortlisted for T20 World Cup… Big statement by RCB head coach Sanjay Bangar

IND vs SA 4th T20: Team India made a strong comeback after losing the first two games of the T20I series against South Africa and the series is currently tied at 2-2. The Rishabh Pant-led side has been playing the entire four matches without any changes and is expected to see no change in the last match today. Team India returned to the series with a 48-run victory over the Proteas in Visakhapatnam and an 82-run win over South Africa at the SCA Stadium in Rajkot.

Many players were surprised when Team India’s playing XI did not change even after losing the second T20I. Former India cricketers Ashish Nehra and Aakash Chopra advised Avesh Khan to be dropped from the XI after their third game win, but the team management was confident. Avesh took 4 wickets for 18 runs in Rajkot and played an important role in the victory of Team India.

Former India batting coach and current head coach of RCB, Sanjay Bangar talked about Team India’s T20 preparations. “I think Umran Malik has been brought into the team to introduce him to the dressing room environment and how an international team works. IPL is a domestic league and international cricket is a step above it. So some players have been picked in the team to give them that experience.

Bangar further said, ‘I believe that out of the 11 players who have played so far in this series and the players who have been rested from the first team, those 17-18 players have already been shortlisted (for the T20 World Cup squad) .’ It is to be noted that senior players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were rested from the series, who are regular part of the team.
