Now what will happen to Ravichandran Ashwin, when will England go, Jayant Yadav was made standby

New Delhi: India’s senior off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin could not accompany the team to England, where the final Test match is to be held at Edgbaston from July 1 to 5, due to the arrival of Kovid positive. Meanwhile, leading Indian spinner R Ashwin, who missed a trip to the UK with the Test team last week, will reach England in the next few days.

Test team players Virat Kohli, captain Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara and Shardul Thakur had already left for England. He is expected to join the squad in Leicester ahead of the four-day warm-up game against County, starting June 24. The off-spinner along with other members had failed to take off from Mumbai on June 16 due to being Covid positive.

Captaincy went but not attitude… Virat Kohli was filling the team with enthusiasm, Dravid and Rohit Sharma kept listening silently
A Cricbuzz report said that it has been learned that new travel arrangements are being made for the veteran cricketer, who will soon join the team along with the rest of his teammates. Jayant Yadav was kept as standby when Ashwin did not recover on time.

The Haryana spinner was called to the NCA in Bangalore. However, that option has been ruled out as Ashwin has fully recovered and is expected to fly to England in the next 24 hours.
